Founded in 1997, Orion Holidays specialises in holiday cottages, property sales and corporate hospitality at sought-after lakeside settings in the glorious Cotswolds Lake District region. Having in-depth consultations with Orion Holidays Directors, the Jazzbones Creative team identified an underlying problem. In a nutshell, Orion’s branding and marketing failed to mirror the premium quality of their exceptional holidays and property services. It is one thing producing attractive brochures and branded merchandise in isolation, it is quite another to develop a strategically consistent identity and message.
If Orion were to continue to grow their business, wholesale changes to branding and a more joined-up approach to the whole gamut of marketing and communications activities were required. We approached Orion with a detailed breakdown of where they were in terms of their brand and design, and with practical proposals on what they should aim for.
Subsequently, we worked extremely closely with Orion’s management to develop a more strategic approach to marketing and to transform their brand identity/positioning in line with the company’s USPs and crucially, their ABC1 customer demographic. A stylish new logo, colour palette and brand guidelines have been successfully rolled-out across a range of key marketing communications alongside templates and marketing collateral for future activities.
This Jazzbones Travel-led rebranding culminated in the launch of Orion’s new, mobile-friendly website, featuring a bespoke web solution and advanced CMS designed to handle the most complex transactions of a multi-property holiday portfolio and which seamlessly incorporates the client’s preferred online booking and management system, SuperControl®.
Visually, Orion Holidays’ slick, contemporary website targets ABC1 urban dwellers looking to ‘get back to nature’. Our branding specialists created the strapline ‘Unwind in the heart of the Cotswolds’ while visually we combined gold and natural tones to create an online identity that reflects the upmarket DNA of the Orion brand. Beautiful lakeside images, natural textures and friendly typography give the website a fresh, natural feel that mirrors the Cotswolds environment.
Orion Holidays now have an attractive ‘signature’ website and fit-for-purpose branding that can be deployed cross-media. If the initial feedback is anything to go by, the company’s slick and contemporary new image and online calling card will play a key role in consolidating their reputation and attracting new customers.
