Spend a few hours in the Jazzbones office and you will soon realize it’s home to a bunch of sports obsessives – from boxing to basketball and football to freestyle BMX, we can talk sport with the best of ‘em!
Unlike amateur pub bores, we’ve also got a fair idea what we’re talking about - our senior designer is a martial arts black belt, our lead copywriter has written four best-selling football books, and we’ve worked on branding and marketing with the current Commonwealth Cruiserweight Boxing Champion.
As a team of 100% local talent, we can also testify to the fact that Wiltshire is a county full of sporting achievers, so what better way to demonstrate our backing for local heroes than to sponsor the 2017 Wiltshire Sportsman of the Year Award?
The 2017 Wiltshire Sports Awards will recognise the achievements and contributions of athletes, coaches, teams, clubs and volunteers throughout Wiltshire in a special ceremony at Devizes’ Corn Exchange in January.
One of the most coveted accolades is the Sportsman Of The Year Award, sponsored by Jazzbones Creative and our digital partners Reuben Internet. It’s been another fine year of sporting achievement, both local, nationally and internationally for many Wiltshire competitors, but whose success or performances do you believe has captured the imagination of the county?
Far be it for Jazzbones to influence your vote, but it’s fair to say that Swindon Town footballers are rank outsiders after relegation to the Football League’s bottom tier, though we do admire the club’s branding alliance with Jazzbones’ client Imagine Cruising!

Nominations can be made until November 3rd, after which a panel of judges including Wiltshire Times sports editor Owen Houlihan, Wiltshire & Swindon Sport’s CEO Steve Boocock and 1968 Olympic Games 400 metres hurdles gold medallist David Hemery will meet to decide on the winners.
May the Games commence and may the Best Man win!
