Nicky Alberry unveiled the new name and identity designed by Jazzbones for The Swindon Strategic Economic Partnership (SSEP) at its annual conference at STEAM recently.Now known as Influence, the organisation will act as Swindon’s collective business voice, ensuring that the business community’s concerns, issues and aspirations are heard by local and regional decision-makers and that pressure is brought to bear when appropriate.
Influence will be made up of a cross section of volunteers from the diverse business spectrum in Swindon, from major employers to smaller independent companies with specialist skills, as well as representatives of key business representative associations such as the Chamber of Commerce, GWE Initiative and Federation of Small Businesses. It will also include one representative each from Swindon Borough Council and Forward Swindon.

— Plan 500, Young People Campaign 2012
Following the success of last years Plan 500 campaign which created opportunities for 557 young people of Swindon, Lord Digby Jones Kt and Anne Carrigan, Nationwide’s Head of Resourcing recently launched Forward Swindon’s Plan 500 campaign for 2012 at the Swindon Business Show, Steam.The purpose of Plan 500 is to increase the number of job opportunities for young people by providing a single point of entry for employers wishing to offer work, training or support to young people aged 16-24. In 2012 Plan 500 will aim to deliver:
• 150 new Apprenticeships
• 150 new Work Experience opportunities
• 25 additional Business Mentors trained
• 100 Employers receiving Work Based Qualifications information linked to RPA
• 75 young people not in employment, education or training, being assigned a mentor

Founded in 1804 by William Wilberforce the Bible Society is the worlds largest charity providing Bibles to people around the world in a language that they can understand at a price they can afford.Jazzbones Creative Ltd recently helped the Bible Society by turning around some super quick on-brand designs and artwork for their urgent appeals pack. The appeals pack consisted of a 2pp Appeal Letter, Donation Form, A5 4pp Appeals Booklet, C5 Printed Envelope and DL Reply Envelope and this was all turned around within 2 working days ... Phew!
